VISION NIGHT (02.24.2019)

VISION PART 1 [29:00]

THE CHURCH I SEE | RADIOACTIVE LOVE | BUILDING FULL & INVITATIONS | COMMUNITY SERVICE & MISSIONS | REVIVALS AND FIREPITS

IN 2019, THE CHURCH I SEE

In 2019 I see a church that is introducing people to the REAL JESUS and the POWER OF REDEMPTION; where people are growing in authentic community, having ah-ha moments around the revelation and experiences of Redemption, Spiritual Authority, the Holy Spirit and the Science of Freedom; where they activate these transformational truths throughout their lives.

I see a church that genuinely believes LifePointe’s radiant activations of love, quality of truth and transformational content sets our church apart from all others; I see a church where our attenders see themselves as an exceptional community, one that we are over-the-moon to be a part of.

RADIOACTIVE LOVE

I see a church of radioactive love; where we love with an emotionally-present energy rather than a  mechanically pretentious formality. I see a church where people step through their fears and trauma wounds to be fully present, fully alive and beam healing towards others. I see a church where we refuse to “use” people to fulfill a vision; yet we use vision to fulfill our love for people; where connection is our greatest vision and most cherished “win”; where we are growing deep bonds through recurring times of loving, laughing and learning – building memories through shared experiences.

BUILDING FULL & INVITATIONS

I see a church so attractive, energizing and inviting that our environments are bursting beyond attendance capacity. I see authentically enthusiastic invitations being offered to “Bridge Events” and our Sunday worship experiences; where our people penetrate past the disillusionment of “invitation rejection” – where friends repeatedly decline – to invite again, and invite others, in holy anticipation of the “invitation yes” – the ones who do show up to encounter the REAL JESUS and the POWER OF REDEMPTION. I see our hearts being overwhelmed as we witness these “One Day” friends share their Sunday Video Stories, moving from an “invitation yes” to significant life change at LifePointe. I see a church that will do anything and invest everything in search of outsiders to invite. I see growing numbers of sparkling salvations each week at LifePointe!

COMMUNITY SERVICE AND MISSIONS

I see a church that serves people that are under resourced and marginalized in our community missions outreaches; where we enthusiastically invite our friends outside of LifePointe in opportunity to serve with us; where we give hope and satisfy needs in outreach and where we introduce our outsider friends to the extraordinary people of LifePointe Church.

REVIVALS AND FIREPITS

I see a church that leads people into powerful church revivals, divine encounters, Holy Spirit gifts, penetrating demonstrations, prophetic teachings, spiritual soakings, miracle happenings and extraordinary shared experiences. I see our worship team in hot pursuit of Kingdom callings and Kingdom alignment; where leading true worship is embodied on and off the stage, through diligent preparations – both in skill and spiritual exercise. I see a church committed to prayer and dependencies on the Holy Spirit.

VISION PART 2 [11:00]

THE CHURCH I SEE | YOUNG FAMILIES & CHILDREN | TEAMS | GROUPS

THE CHURCH I SEE

YOUNG FAMILIES AND CHILDREN

I see a church filled with the young and old. I see a church of young families, where the kids from birth to elementary school to teenagers begin their bonds with the REAL JESUS. I see a church where kids are introduced to truths and revival encounters with God that mark them for the rest of their lives; I see young people becoming dynamic risk takers in faith, and powerhouses for revival; I see them sharing together in both holy moments and radical fun, building memories and divinely orchestrated friendships for eternity. I see our church family being an epicenter of eventual church planters, pastors, missionaries and marketplace leaders - raised up, trained and empowered by our various age-appropriate ministers and leaders.

TEAMS

I see a church where “ordinary people” serve in volunteer teams, making us each “extra-ordinary people”. I see a church of people who are discovering that God wants to partner with them to make a difference; where every person is experiencing the divine fulfillment. I see people who are growing in putting God’s Kingdom “first” over other schedules, priorities and conveniences; where serving shoulder-to-shoulder introduces us to what becomes a lifetime of close friendships. I see a church where our leaders and teammates catalyze a revival of open hearts before God.

GROUPS

I see a church of small groups of people growing in authentic community; where our compassion draws new attenders out of impossible situations into a loving and friendly circles of hope; groups where answers are found and acceptance is given; where attenders take risks to move past the shoulder-to-shoulder stage, to deeper levels of vulnerability, trust and experiences of truly being loved - loved for who they are, rather than who they want to be; where attenders are celebrated for simply being, rather than measuring up to a certain skill, personality preference, moral standard or unashamed past; where Group Hosts are energized for how their role can begin radical change in the future chapters of their attenders life-story.

VISION PART 3 [13:00]

THE CHURCH I SEE | GLOBAL MEDIA PLATFORM | STAFF & LEADERS

THE CHURCH I SEE

GLOBAL INFLUENCE PLATFORM

I see a progressive church – with an exciting vision to touch the world through a global media platform; where pastors, marketplace leaders and common people around the world are trained in our core specialties of Redemption, Spiritual Authority, the Holy Spirit and the Science of Freedom; where we  lead hundreds to millions to the REAL JESUS and the POWER OF REDEMPTION; where these specialty topics are published in books, LifePointe podcast interviews, major city one night gatherings – featuring a gathering a network of professional therapists and neuroscientists, FirePits and Revivals, web-based ecourse-masterclass trainings, mobile phone apps and more. I see us taking incremental steps toward the global dream - while celebrating, being satisfied in and fully present with the people and ministry God has put in front us right now.

STAFF AND LEADERS

I see an excited and growing staff with staff associate Pastors, Directors, Captains, Group Hosts and Event Leaders that bring radiant energy into every environment, inspiring our people towards our common vision. I see a church filled with common people who aspire to lead, host and guide throughout our church; people who have courageously moved beyond their feelings of inadequacy, incompetent spirituality and untransformed flaws to grip onto God’s grace for doing ministry; where God’s grace makes them “ministry ready,” rather than waiting for an ethereal graduation into ministry. I see a church of leaders that are emotionally healthy, and that are growing into “once-in-a-generation” type leaders – evolved people who are naturally gifted, spiritually potent and genuinely humble. I see leaders who count the cost of impacting our city, the region and the world, as a calling-assignment, and willing to face down impossibility with the confidence of God’s possibility. I see leaders who dare to be themselves, yet live in unified alignment with the greater vision; where delegation and empowerment is a high value, so that no one or two people carry the greatest load alone. I see happy leaders leading happy people having and happy fun.

VISION PART 4 [19:00]

THE CHURCH I SEE | RELEASING THE EMOTIONAL GRIP OF THE PAST | VISION OWNERSHIP

THE CHURCH I SEE

RELEASING THE EMOTIONAL GRIP OF THE  PAST TO EMBRACE THE CALL

In 2019 I see a church where we grow from our past mistakes; where we are driven by a divine vision for tomorrow, empowered with the earnest expectation of God’s faith. I see a church where our people have made cold-calculated faith-choices to believe in the Holy Spirit’s guidance and have embraced a conviction about our church’s calling-assignment. I see a church the holds deep persuasion that our “divine tomorrow” will have greater exploits and fulfillment than yesterday’s setbacks; that our future is greater than our past. I see a church that will not be defined by unanswerable questions of delay, loss, grief over attrition, or failed growth trends. I see a church of a strong core, ready to take the dream God has given us today, to live crowned in a generation desperate for an encounter with the REAL JESUS and the POWER OF REDEMPTION.

VISION OWNERSHIP

In 2019 I see our church attenders growing in numbers, all nobly carrying the LifePointe culture with honor; where we are all generating a churchwide frenzy for “bridge event” promotion - embodying this vision in every sphere of influence, communication medium and outsider relationship; where members feel the privilege and awe to be a part of something so extraordinary; where we will do whatever it takes to see God’s dream come to pass.

I see a church that BELIEVES! I see a church choosing this 2019 vision, convicted that it is not by the will of man, but it came by a movement and encouragement of the Holy Spirit.

This is the church I see!

RISK ASSESSMENT

WHAT IF WE DON’T TAKE THIS VISION SERIOUS?

I have shared with you the vision for 2019, the WHY behind what we are doing, and shared the benefits. Now let’s be sober to assess the risks. Psychology teaches us that most of us aren’t that good at calculating risks, especially when we don’t think major danger is immanent.

WHAT IS AT RISK for each of us at LifePointe if we fail to buying-in to the vision?

2nd Law of Thermodynamics – Entropy - DECLINE

“Nothing stays the same; either you move forward or you move toward decline!”

We can’t assume LifePointe will be the same in 2020 and beyond as we have experienced prior!

LOSS OF CLOSENESS

When a leader makes a BID for connection, there are only 3 possible responses:

  1. Turn Towards

  2. Turn Away

  3. Attack

To just not communicate, respond or even attend the church-wide events leaders provide tends to project a communication that you may not want to be communicated with. And over time that creates the distant-nature of future relations. When people are absent, those who are present feel the loss of trust and intimacy towards those who take the events lightly. It is impossible to retain a growing closeness of intimate friendships with people who take the relationship lightly.

ESTEEM SLOW BLEED / HALF-IN CREATES A SLOW BLEED

Organizationally, whenever leaders cast a vision and most attenders are only half-in, the impact has a ripple effect.

  • First it causes EMOTIONAL DISAPPOINTMENT for those who did buy-in and commit.

Each event where we are half-in creates a slow bleed towards the death of that vision. As a leader and teammate, I would always prefer knowing in advance what we are going to do – “Are we going to take this mountain or not.” It is deeply discouraging to leaders and those who do fully buy-in to discover that as a church family that many are only passive in our execution.

  • Secondly, the emotional disappointment leads to a DECLINE IN OUR CHURCH-ESTEEM.

Much like self-esteem, we have an organizational esteem called “church-esteem.” When the people are proud of their church, energized by the leadership culture and spiritual experiences, they are emotionally present and excited to invite others; when church esteem is low, everything is a grind. We can nurture the church-esteem that we are desiring by our own individual choices to buy-in and commit; or we can default to indifference, and abdicate to navigate the grind. I am going to lead a healthy church-esteem, will you go with us?

LEADERSHIP SUSTAINABILITY/COMMITMENT

We must do this together for everyone to continue towards health. If we don’t do this we abdicate to status quo and yet hope for sustainability as a church. Our leadership team is leading for growth, not sustainability. It becomes a continual blow to our leadership energies when people we are trusting don’t carry the energy, diligence and attendance to the vision. The highest quality leaders in our lives are not going to be interested in remaining in “average” environments. Our greatest probabilities of getting, or even keeping, top leaders is for everyone of us to rise up and own the vision. We can’t assume that the blessing of leadership individuals that God has given us will remain faithful to us if we are not committed to them with our time, communications, energies and vision funding; being present isn’t a luxury, but a baseline.

THE “CHURCH I SEE” VISION DOESN’T HAPPEN

As church attenders we believe that our leaders are being led by God’s Spirit to help us be fruitful in all areas of our lives. Church vision isn’t supposed to just create extra busy-ness in our lives. In other words, the vision that LifePointe has for 2019 is actually a God inspired dream. It wasn’t born of men, nor a man, but of God.

For each and everyone of us to assume margin in our commitment to executing the vision is to diminish the possibilities of the vision’s fulfillment. When we project that “other” people are to be the responsible ones, we actually hold God’s dream hostage. We literally hold the power to keep God’s plans from being fulfilled. Throughout history God has moved on to use more willing vessels, though many He originally stirred were better resourced and gifted.

However, for each of us to take seriously this vision - in our schedules, communications, attendance, service and funding - we will rise to our God given potential. That will be incredible for us. I already believe that LifePointe’s people, leaders, talent, character, generosity, teaching content and systems are the hope of God’s heart for touching a generation. Clearly, our church should be influencing the populations of this planet!

REMEMBER

Working hard on something you don’t like is called stress.

Working hard on something you love is called passion.

Simon Sinek

If you want what NORMAL PEOPLE HAVE,

do what NORMAL PEOPLE DO.

If you want what FEW PEOPLE HAVE,

do what FEW ARE WILLING TO DO.

Craig Groeschel

  • We are not spiritual consumers; we are contributors.

  • We lose life to find it. We become the least to become the greatest.

  • The church does not exist for us, it is us. We are the church, and we exist for the world.

  • The key to purpose is knowing your role in eternity.

YOUR RESPONSE - 4 STAGE MODEL – PROCESS OF DISCOVERY

  1. ASSESS – All that God has done in your life to this point and give extravagant thanksgiving to Him

  2. RESURRENDER – Go over all your resources, schedules and relationship commitments and submit them again to God, with complete abandon to His will for you.

  3. ASK-LISTEN – Ask God what He wants you to do, to give up, to reallocate time and relationship investments so that you are consistent and committed to every part of the LifePointe vision for 2019. Then actively listen, letting the process take days if necessary.

  4. OBEY – Finally, once you have a growing prompting, simply obey with all your heart. It will take faith. It will require sacrifice. Worship God with the quality of your sacrifical gifts of service and attendance.

CALL TO ACTION

WHAT I NEED FROM YOU…

  1. Recommit to Membership for 2019 by registering you and your family, and sign up to serve on a team

  2. Be punctual and consistent in attendance and service

  3. Invite friends to all Sundays and events

Let’s be inspired by our vision. Let’s feel the gravity of our risks. And let’s touch the world for eternity, right from Olathe, Kansas!

VISION PART 5 [53:00]

THE CHURCH YOU SEE | SHARING FROM LIFEPOINTERS
